GDPR Operational Plan Solves Business Coaching Client's Compliance Scramble
This worldwide business coaching client employs business coaches around the world to help its customers live a better life while managing businesses. European Union's changes to privacy affected this client but "how" was still to be seen. During this three-month engagement a solution was created and shared out to the team in a training session.

PROCESS
The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) rollout was new to everyone, so I conducted thorough investigating, reading and discussing the upcoming changes. The client consisted of approximately 15 people and none of them were legal counsel. I began the work by documenting all of the changes and what they meant to this client. I orchestrated the client operational process, that is: what should be done in the instance of a request. After reviewing the plan with the client, I conducted a teach out of what GDPR is, how to manage requests and the type of maintenance that should be done to ensure all digital properties keep compliant.
SOLUTION
The prescriptive GDPR plan was presented via Google Slides and consisted of two supplimental Google Docs that went into greater detail of the new changes. My outline explained the three common request that would be resulted from the GDPR changes. Those requests are:

Right to be forgotten

While working with this client, we did encounter a situation where a data breach was reported by a third party service the client utilizes. I successfully walked the client through the steps, leveraging two templated documents; one to capture user data for identification and one to return the requested information to the user.
